I have been working on some new enamelled rabbit brooches. I took some pictures of them to show how I make them. They are all hand pierced from 1.2mm copper. After filing the edges, I solder on brooch findings I have made using hard solder.
Next I coat the front in liquid white enamel and allow it to dry.
Then I sgrafitto through to make the design. They are then fired.
Then I sift on jewellery enamels, leaving the feet and tail white. Here it is ready for firing.
Here are the finished brooches ready to hop away. I have added gold and silver lustre details.
