More New Rabbit Brooches

I have been working on some new rabbit brooches. I took some pictures of them to show how I make them. They are all hand pierced from 1.2mm copper. After filing the edges, I solder on brooch findings I have made using hard solder.

Next I coat the front in liquid white enamel and allow it to dry.

Then I sgrafitto through to make the design. They are then fired.

Then I sift on jewellery enamels, leaving the feet and tail white. Here it is ready for firing.

Here are the finished brooches ready to hop away. I have added gold and silver lustre details.

You can catch them at Farnham Festival of Crafts Saturday 20 October to Sunday 21 October.
